Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your WheresPoppin account and its data at any time, right from the app — either instantly, or on a 48-hour delay you can cancel. No app or account access? You can request it by email instead. This page walks through all three, what gets removed, and what we’re required to keep.

Delete from the app

This is instant and self-service — nothing to wait on.

  1. 1Open the WheresPoppin app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. 2Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-right corner of the home screen.
  3. 3Under Account, scroll down to the Danger Zone section and tap Request Account Deletion.
  4. 4Choose Delete immediately, or Wait 48 hours if you’d like a window to change your mind.
  5. 5Enter your password to confirm. That’s it — no waiting on our team, no email back and forth.

Your account and data are gone as soon as you confirm. There’s no undoing this.

Wait 48 hours

Your account is scheduled for deletion in 48 hours. Log back in any time before then and it’s automatically cancelled — nothing else to do.

No app access? Request deletion by email

Send a deletion request to support@wherespoppin.app with your username and the email address on the account, so we can verify it’s you before deleting anything.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile: name, username, email, bio, and avatar
  • Every post, photo, video, and story you’ve shared, including captions and location tags
  • Your comments, likes, and reposts
  • Direct messages you’ve sent and received
  • Your followers, following, and vendor connections
  • Saved preferences and push-notification device tokens

What we retain, and why

A small amount of data outlives account deletion, only where we’re required to keep it:

  • Purchase and ticket records: Transaction history for tickets or boosts is kept for the period required by tax, accounting, and financial regulations.
  • Moderation and safety records: Reports you filed or that were filed against your account may be retained in de-identified form to keep the moderation history accurate and to prevent abuse.

How long it takes

  • Delete immediately, in the app: done as soon as you confirm.
  • Wait 48 hours, in the app: deleted after the 48-hour window, unless you cancel by logging back in.
  • By email: reviewed and processed by our team, typically within 24–48 hours.
